With over 350 miles of shoreline, there are plenty of
places to tie up your boat and enjoy some swimming
and sunning, but no other place on the lake is as much
THE spot as Goat Island! Every weekend during the
summer, you will find recreationalists in boats and
pwc's circling around the island, tied up around it, or
tied up to it! It's a great place to meet friends, have
some drinks, play some games, listen to music, and
just have a great time!

If you want to get a spot, you better show up early!

We are selling our brand new "Meet
me at Goat Ilsand" t-shirts for
$14
each. Contact Cap'n Dave to order
yours today!
Many times, people will explore the island
and it's many boulders around it, but nothing
is as nice as the big boulders on the
northwest side of the island. Local "artists"
have painted some faces on the rocks, and if
you climb up onto them, you get a great view
of the lake towards the Goodman Lake Road
Bridge.

Boaters beware though, when the lake is
high, there are boulders under the water on
the northwestern side of the island that can
sneak up and pop the bottom of your boats.
When the lake is near full pond, boats usually tie up
to trees on the bank of the island, but when the lake
drops down to around 4' below full pond, Goat Island
has a beautiful beach. Boaters pull up on shore and
play horse shoes, throw frisbees or football, and I've
even seen a volleyball game going on one time.

Next time you are at High Rock, ride up into the
Crane Creek area and stop in at Goat Island!
Everyone is welcome, but beware, local Sheriff
deputies and Wildlife officers patrol the area quite
often. If you plan to drink, make sure you have a
designated driver,. But above all else, have some
fun!
