Guys, the forum is slow, but for a reason. I'm working on an update to the
www.muddywaterpirates.com website that will be released next week, that will have a link to an all new forum. I helped someone else create another forum for the lake system, Davidson, and Rowan County. It's not limited to those counties or just High Rock Lake, but those are what things are geared towards. I will have the same forums listed on that new forum that are listed here.
So make sure you check back often (especially next week), and visit the new forum and the updated MWP website!
NCskyskier, good call on the facebook site, but I'm committed to this forum, as I have 100% control over what I can do with it. Facebook is very nice, and I might use it to generate visits to the website and new forum.

I fished all winter, even breaking some ice to go fishing. The winter was pretty ruff. I fished with 2 inches of snow on the boat one night and didnt get a bite. Fishing has turned back on now in the last 2 weeks I caught a 61 lb and 53 lb catfish along with some nice crappie. The resturants great, I mostly call my order in but it's as good as when they were up the street. I agree, parking might get crazy down there and whats worse...launching a boat you need a second person standing guard to tell people not to walk behind boat while your backing in. or golf carts dart out from parking lot. I know they can see.....but I cant, so I'm not gona keep backing up when I see them go back there. Resturant signed lease until october but girl there told me they were having trouble with zoneing and getting permits to fix old resturant so maybe they will hang around. They do enough bussiness to stay open during the winter
