For anyone that has a facebook, myspace page, or anyone that uses the computer and internet often, please spread the word to your friends and family to come to our website and sign up on the forum.  This could be a great place to get a good start on helping each other out with information on things going on in the community and around the lakes.

Let's start a campaign to see how many members we can get to sign up and make this a growing community tool for everyone to use.

Dave I would really  like to know your location on the lake. In some of the pictures everyone seemed to be having a good time, and you have a hell of a nice set up. I can understand if you would not want to give out that information, you don't know me from Adam, but I would not mind meeting you sometime, you sound like a hell'uva fun guy.

Hey, Tazz!  Well, after some discussions on the Dispatch forum, you seem like a pretty good person and we seem to agree on a lot of the same issues, and I don't mind letting people know what part of the lake we are on.

We are near Goat Island at the Goodman Lake Road bridge, at the Marsh Campgrounds.

We do have fun during the summer at the lake.  We are there pretty much every weekend from May through Labor Day.  We aren't really into fishing, so we don't go down during the cooler months except to keep up with our place, cleaning the yard and making sure everything is okay.  We love to have visitors, too!

Dave I'm going to show you how stupid I'am, I do not know about any of those places you mentioned. It's been so long since I've been down to the lake  everything you said was like foreign language to me, sorry. Are you located on High Rock or Baden? If it's Baden, I do not know anything about it, I've never been on Baden, heard about it, driven by it, but never actually been to it. Thanks for the invite, maybe I could find it sometime if I ever make it down that way again. Dave, from my family to yours and all the Muddy Water Pirates, have a Merry Christmas, and a great and safe New Year.

Thanks, Tazz, and same to you and yours!!

Let me see what I can do about our location on the lake.  We WERE at Badin, but now back at High Rock Lake after our one year experiment at Badin.  We are on the Rowan County side and some of the places of interest that are close by are the High Rock Lake Boat and Ski club, Tamarac Marina, Goat Island (in which I'm the proud Mayor of), the Rowan County Shriners club.

We are up river from the High Rock Lake Dam.  About a 15 minute boat ride up the river toward the Yadkin.  Our old stomping grounds on the lake was in Abbott's Creek, where the High Rock Lake Marina is, the old Foster's Point campground.

It's a big lake for sure, but not too hard to find your way around.  Come summer time, just let us know when you'll be out that way. Cool
